The Best PC Builds for Counter-Strike 2

Deserto

If the idea of a pre-built PC still scares you, building your own is always an option. You can also save some money by shopping around for your own parts. Plus, once you get them, there are plenty of places around the world that will help you assemble them for a fee.

We recommend not to overdo it. Counter-Strike 2 isn’t the hardest game to run, but we want to make sure the PC we’re shutting down doesn’t get bogged down in a few years.

Personally, our favorite components of all so far are the mid-tier components. This includes GPUs and CPUs. The current version of Nvidia RTX cards has some great software, but the hardware is not enough to surpass the RTX 30 series, unless we choose the RTX 4090.

What is the best GPU for CS2?

Nvidia’s RTX 3060, 4060, and 4070 are all excellent choices for CS2. We’re sticking with Nvidia’s RTX 40 series because it’s been supported longer than the 30 series. Reflex essentially reduces the latency pipeline on PC, allowing you to react faster and the game registering these inputs faster than usual. Definitely recommend pairing it with a high refresh rate monitor.

AMD 3D V-Cache CPUs are the way forward

We also recommend you consider 3D V-Cache CPUs, including the previous generation 5800X3D. It starts at under $250, but it’s still a very powerful CPU to add to your system. However, if you want to protect yourself in the future, you must choose an AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU.

Ryzen 5000 and 7000 chipsets do not generally support DDR5 and DDR4 RAM. If you decide to use a previous generation CPU, you may not be able to build a PC that uses faster hardware. If you go the Intel route, 13th generation will be the last generation to support DDR5 and DDR4 RAM, but it will give you more flexibility if you decide to upgrade your motherboard to current generation RAM.
